Arizona Diamondbacks +125 vs. San Diego Padres

Neither starting pitcher has been particularly effective this year, which I think makes this game a tossup and gives the Diamondbacks some value as a fairly sizable underdog. Arizona's offense has been stymied this series, but that's going to happen to a lot of people against Chris Paddack and Matt Strahm, and its 102 team wRC+ is 18 points ahead of that of the Padres.

Minnesota Twins -112 vs. Los Angeles Angels

Just been mystified by the lines for this whole series. Nobody has benefited more from Minnesota's new pitching development staff than Martin Perez, as a bump in velocity plus newfound effective cutter has helped him post a 64 ERA- with a strikeout rate nearly 10 percent above his career mark. Matt Harvey has been okay of late, at least compared to his horrid first four starts, but this Twins lineup has so much power as we've seen this series.

Detroit Tigers -110 vs. Miami Marlins

The four-game winning streak is fun and all but I'm going to pick against the Marlins and their team 66 wRC+ at this price all day long in a non-Caleb Smith start. Daniel Norris and Jose Urena have both been a bit below league average, with Urena ranking slightly worse with a 112 ERA-/112FIP-. Among Miami's many problems is a terrible bullpen, whereas the Tigers can at least rely on Shane Greene in a high-leverage situation.
